2008. Our first wedding anniversary. This when it all began for us. When we stepped away from crowded downtown Denver during the DNC. When we wanted life to stand still. To be thankful for all we had shared together in our first year of marriage. To breath.
We packed up and flew to the farthest state away that we could. Maine. Wanting to see the rocky coasts and to feel the crisp air on our faces. We spent an entire week falling in love with a state, with a lifestyle, and a feeling. I can’t explain what that trip stirred in our hearts, or the dreams to be there again that lives with us everyday.
I can tell you how perfect it felt to go back… I spent almost a week there this month. Exploring, sharing, dreaming, learning, hoping, and making an amazing new friendship with someone dear to my heart. Spring opened up her home, life, and clients to me while I was there. And single handedly the best tour guide through three states that I have ever had! We ate lobster rolls, had late night talks, and reflected on life. This is a trip that I will always hold dear to my heart.
Life in moments… Frozen. A rekindling of our past dreams, and a new adventure placed into our hearts… Until then, it is life in pictures.
