“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ― H. Jackson Brown Jr.
When the voice of your heart is no longer a whisper and it suddenly becomes a constant in your ear. When your dreams grow bigger than you could have imagined. When you feel compelled to go against the grain, fight the odds, and give up everything that feels safe.
When the voice dares you to grow. In life, in love, in family, in business. When the dreams mean taking a leap and praying the net of faith will appear while you fall. Clinging to the hope that this, whatever this is, will settle your heart.
When you start to feel faith under your unsteady feet, just for a moment, and know in your soul that you’re content. In one slow, deep breath you feel… home.
The story is un-written, the journey un-coursed. Our story. Our journey.
For the first time ever we have leaped. Blindly, bravely, and faithfully. As a family and a business we have begun to write a new story this month. We are now calling Maine ours. With the love and support of family and very dear friends, we packed up our lives and hearts to make the journey 2,032 miles across the country.
While we take the time to get settled we are beyond blessed to be able to write this story of our lives and the growth of our business. Allowing ourselves to split our time professionally in two amazing markets. Colorado will always hold a piece of who we are. It’s where we both grew up, met, fell in love, and began our family. Our families and some of our dearest friends remain there. And while we are looking forward to the future here, we will continue to document the lives and love of our clients in both beautiful locations next year. With the plans to travel often, dream always, and dare daily… We are excited to announce we are here.
Kennebunk, Maine.
Thank you to all of the amazing couples, families, clients, friends, clients turned friends, and loved ones who have followed and have had faith in me. In what I do. In my dreams. This business of ours wouldn’t be what it is today without each and every one of you. For anyone who wants to stay connected to us personally while the story unfolds, you can follow us on JacobandMelissa.com beginning next week. Where we hope to share our adventures and what life in Maine holds.
We love each one of you. Melissa & Jacob
Thank you to Lindsay B for our beautiful family session.
