EMBRACING BEAUTY

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath, a small pause…

Take this one single moment away from your busy day to remember and really see all the beauty we are surrounded with every single day. The beauty that we all seem too busy to look at. The rising sun, falling leaves, the snow caped mountains, or the crashing sea.

Embrace this.

Embracing… It is something I am just really learning how to do, and hopefully with grace. Embracing where life has brought you from, to the journey it is leading you towards.

With a quite hotel room, a snuggled baby, and a sleeping husband I am able to embrace typing this post in the hotel restroom. Because if typing in the restroom means knowing that just beyond this door my family is tucked away sleeping peacefully. Then I will gracefully embrace finding the beauty in poor wall paper choices and tight quarters.

It is believing that somewhere in this world there is actually someone reading this who will stop to enjoy the sunrise a little more this morning, who may just take that extra little moment to savor their own beauty found in their life…

Because if I believe that I can find beauty in a hotel bathroom, on a ten inch screen, with those poor wall paper choices, and the tight quarters to share the beauty in my day with you, you may just remember to share the beauty of yours too.

The breath taking surroundings that we found today were along the shoreline of New Haven, CT. It really is stunning what you will see when you just take a moment to look…

Where do you find your simple beauty in your days…?

JASON & MELISSA | Boulder Wedding | part three

Talk about a gorgeous setting for Melissa and Jason’s reception! Melissa’s parents own this amazing little farm that is surrounded by Boulder County Open Space, so it feels like the property never ends. I have said it before but I will say it again, Melissa and Jason your wedding was beautiful. The time and thought that was put into your entire wedding day… truly amazing. It is so wonderful when couples really focus on what they love and who they are. When those elements are incorporated into every aspect of your wedding day… That’s what will make a very memorable day for your guests. (Not to mention stunning pictures!) Want to know the one aspect that they did that just may have become my absolute favorite thing I have seen yet?! Melissa and Jason planted a peach tree! To be able to watch it grow as their relationship does, to have a special reminder every time they visit her parents, to know it takes roots to bloom… I love that! All of it. πŸ™‚ I could ramble and ramble, but I will let their details and reception images speak for themselves. (Details below on who helped make their beautiful day happen.)

Wedding Day Details:

Vicky - – Love the photo of the shoes! It reminds me of a fnerid (the groom) who when kneeling at the alter, his “friends” had unknowingly put “HELP ME” on the soles of his shoes I like “I DO” much better:)July 30, 2011 5:15 pm

LADY BUGS & PUMPKINS

Happy Monday everyone!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating you fall festivities. I know we did. This Halloween proved to be a little bit different in the life of MB and the little fam. First off, where was the snow?! I know you all might be thinking, why would you want snow already?! I really can’t think of a Halloween where it wasn’t cold and at leastΒ trying to snow. Where all the little kiddo’s plan their costumes around bulky coats, where you go the corn maze, get freakishly lost and it’s freezing… Ahhhh October 31st in Colorado, you through me for a loop this year with your 65+ degree day!

A little bit of Beck trivia for you… We have been together for almost 6 years now, and this was the first year we have ever carved pumpkins! Can you believe that?!

It was a blast finally going to the pumpkin patch this year, (Lila in tow too) and celebrating by taking full advantage of fall fun. Baking, carving. trick-or-treaters, eating more candy than I gave out… Dressing up our little Lady Bug Lila! Β So fun. I hope you all had a very full and fantastic weekend like we did.

And a little collage from our phones and P&S from the weekend too. Love this season! I was trying to put together a “Why I love Fall” collage last week and all the reasons, things, and ideas that I do actually love about fall were pretty much all food or smell related! What does that say about me?! Haha. Sooooo, instead just assume if you can eat it or smell it and it is fall related I love it. πŸ™‚ Happy fall everyone!

Uncle E - These pics are great! Lila must be an awesome subject to work with. She always looks so happy in your pictures! Nice job.

Michelle Hebert - She is such a DOLL! Motherhood suits you VERY well!!

Kelsey Park - That’s the sweetest little lady bug I have ever seen!
